The Water Cycle

The Water Cycle

I am explaining the Water Cycle. These are the four steps of the
Water Cycle. Did you know that water is never wasted because water
is recycled all the time. It comes from the sewers and you might even
be drinking water that dinosaurs drank.

Firstly it is Evaporation. Evaporation is water rising from the streams,
rivers, lakes, and oceans. The water cools and goes up. That's the
end of Evaporation.

Next is Condensation. Condensation is and cooling and turning into
clouds and forming back into bigger droplets and getting heavier
then begin to do something different. That is the end of Condensation.

Thirdly is Precipitation. Precipitation is water falling from the clouds
and makes puddles, streams, rivers, and lakes. Finally, it gets to the
ocean. Some times it is dirty and some times it is not. These are the
things that fall. Water, sleet, hail, and snow.

Lastly, it is Surface runoff. Surface runoff is water running across the
ground and making more streams and rivers. Then it just repeats its
self all over again.

These four stages are explaining the water cycle and remember what
I told you.

  1. Hi Matthew, it's Mrs Minehan here. Thank you for sharing your learning about the water cycle and the fact that water is never wasted because it is always recycled. I really liked how your artwork made your written work all come together. I wonder if we should change the name of the 'rain bell' to the 'precipitation bell' at Kokatahi-Kowhitirangi School?
